“A relaxed breath and butthole is all you’ll ever need.”
our very existence is an act of resistance
Our rage. Our grief. Our fear.
Every pulse of it is legit. Every breath of it is sacred.
Let us come together, held by breath and by each other, to feel whatever the fuck we need to feel—free from the White Gaze, free in the full truth of our bodies.
Let us circle and remember:
how precious we are,
how valid our emotions are,
how much we have survived,
and how far we are determined to go—together.
Let us find comfort in each other’s exhales.
Let us remind our bodies that we have never been worthless.
That we have always been worthy.
That we wrote the muthafuckin book on survival—
and that our creation of Soul Food is a Mistress Class on turning generational pain into joy—taking the scraps thrown to us & transforming them into something that nurtures not only the body but the very soul they tried to crush..
Let us fall into the arms of our ancestors, who protect us,
and rise for our descendants, who will inherit the holy work we’re doing right now.
Let us remember:
we come from warriors.
we are warriors.
and pleasure, joy, breath, and tenderness are our divine birthright.
Let our energy bodies take up every inch of the space that has always belonged to us.
Let us feel each other's heartbeats in the rhythm of our inhale, the song of our exhale.
We are the breath.
We are the battle cry.
We are the blessing.
